Arilès De Tizi

Arilès De Tizi is a self-taught artist from Paris, now based in New York. Twenty years in, he still works across filmmaking, painting, photography and graphic design, and treats none of the four as a side line.

The approach stays manual — scratched emulsion as readily as a digital tool. Projects have taken him from New York to Jakarta, Kiev to Bangkok, and the places he shoots in end up in the frame.

He has directed advertising campaigns for Coca-Cola, Air France and Nike. His own work has been shown at the Palais de Tokyo and the Centre Pompidou.

Arilès De Tizi est un autodidacte, originaire de Paris, installé à New York. Vingt ans plus tard, il passe toujours du film à la peinture, de la photographie au graphisme, sans traiter aucun des quatre comme un à-côté.

Le geste reste manuel — la pellicule grattée autant que l’outil numérique. Ses projets l’ont mené de New York à Jakarta, de Kiev à Bangkok, et les endroits où il tourne finissent dans l’image.
