Fabric London
Paris Gare du Nord, 26°C. I've just got my photo pass through Oli at Fabric after fifteen emails, at the very last minute. I stop at a pharmacy for earplugs. A respectable queue for the Eurostar.

Several rooms, decibels pouring out of speakers slung from ceilings over four metres up. Fabric Live is definitely one of those unmissable clubs where the room, the sound system (heavy — very heavy), the lighting, the DJs and the music make the night unforgettable.
After a stop in a café I come up at Farringdon, the smell of fish and chips hits me the moment I leave the tube — I've arrived. It's been a year since I set foot in London. It feels good.
Almost 10pm. I head for the club entrance to collect my photo pass, they ask my name, and after a thorough search they can't find me… I can feel the whole thing falling apart, until I get to Dave, the man running the night, and explain why I'm there and how I got here — and he finds me a pass, even though the night wasn't meant to be filmed or photographed. I feel considerably better.
Je me sens définitivement mieux.
